Book selling

“Book Selling”
WALT choose the right information about a book we have read, that will encourage others to want to read it when we share it with them..

Title of book
Combat Zone

Tell us about the authorImage result for tom palmer
Tom Palmer is  a father, husband, author, football fan and a reader. Reading about football was what changed his life.
Tom wasn’t keen on reading when he was young. His mum was worried about him because he didn’t do very well at school. She encouraged him to read about football in newspapers, magazines and books. Gradually he came to love books.
And, from that point, it  changed his life. He wanted to know everything about books. He went to night school to do A levels (high school qualifications) when I was 21. Then he did a degree in European Literature when he was 24. It was brilliant!    After he had graduated, he went to work in a bookshop, then a library, then he managed book festivals. All that time he was writing: stories, poems, diaries and books for adults. Then – after a few years – he was lucky enough to have one of his football books for children accepted by Puffin- a publishing company.

Explain who the characters are using descriptive language.

Woody is the main character at first he loved soccer but now loves Rugby but if you want to know more read the book….

Mr Johnson he is the rugby coach for Broadlands School, he is so nice to Woody in the story and he gave him a position in the team in the semifinal.

Tell us enough about the beginning of the story so that everyone will understand what they are about to read.

Woody’s dad is a fighter pilot, and  he had to go away for the war, so Woody had to go to a boarding school, which only played rugby. But he loved soccer so he had to give rugby a go…..

Finally, read an exciting, interesting, or amusing passage from your book. (Stop reading at a moment that leaves the audience hanging and add "If you want to know more you’ll have to read the book."
Pages 13
Woody was going to escape Broadlands tonight at 12:00 tonight. He jumped fence all of sudden there was a dog he chased him throw the fields but he didn’t get bitted he had to run to the train station and  catch the train back into town.

superhreo stroy

WALT to write a story suitable to entertain a  5-6 year old

Here is a superhero called Jak Man.
Jak Man is a superhero who loves saving people and animals.  He can fly super fast and fight really well. He lives In a cave in christchurch in a side of a hill.

Jak Man heard reports on the radio of cats going missing  and then he saw Cat Man speeding  away... All of the cats from Christchurch  were gone.
Cat man drove away to Auckland with all the cats because it was secret and far away from christchurch . Once he arrived  in Auckland,  Cat Man drove  into his secret cave  which was underground. He had a room full of cages and he put each cat in a cage. Cat Man wanted all the cats in Christchurch so he could make a cat army because he wanted to defeat Jak Man.

Jak Man went to his secret tracking device in his cave and he was trying  to track down the cats because  he knew that the cats had microchips.  Once he found the cats he would be able to find Cat Man.   The tracking device showed that there were a lot of cats in a cave in a hill near the boats. He found the cave and entered really quietly. He crept into the tunnel quietly. He found the cats in their cages, they were hidden under a blanket. He sneaked away with all the cats and returned them to their homes.

“Again really,” says Jak Man, “All the dogs were stolen in Christchurch, but they are not in Auckland, where have they gone?”.
“Let’s go to the tracking device,” he suggested.  After searching for a while he stated, “They are in Christchurch in a car park building in 250 Ok Street. Let’s go to the Jak Mobile.” Off he went.

“ Found it,” yelled Jak Man.
Ring, ring, ring.

‘Hi officer Chop I need your team down here at 250 Ok street,” I requested.
“Ok,” said Officer Chop.
“Now we are going to go inside the building really quietly,” whispered Jak Man
“Ok,” said Officer Chop
“ Right found the dogs but I want cat man,” said Jak Man “Ok,” said offer Chop
“Kap pow,”  goes cat man, he takes out Officer Chop.

“Now I have got you cat man you are under arrest,” said Jak Man  “Ok,”said Cat Man
“I am taking you to the station,” said Jak man  “Come on officer Chop we will get these dogs home at the same time,” said Jak man .

integrated learning

Walt make changes to show excellence in school design

Indoriton
We are doing new classroom because we think our classroom’s are boring so we need to make our classroom’s exciting.

 Door
They are special doors they are elitch sliding key cards doors. They will cost our school not to munch. But the doors only let the key cards open the door between 8:30 till 3:30 the doors will be very cool.

Wall
The walls will be colorful just like our writing and stuff we will have hanging chairs built in couers and tv’s.

Solar panel
We need solar panels to generate power for us because then we don’t need that much power from power lines  and it will cost us less.

School name
On the school name we reckon it should be fren school  because it is native and it grows around here. So I reckon it is one of the best names for our school.

Tv
In our classroom we should have two tvs and one is in the wall and one is in the floor. The kids that want to sit on the floor can and the people who want to sit up somewhere else they can  .

Conclusion
So do you think we need a new classroom? we do.

Jak persuasive writing

Introduction
In my opinion  we should not wear school uniform at school because our school uniform is uncomfortable and costs too much money  for our parents.

Paragraph 1
Come on people, we need to be different from each other when we are at school. With our school uniform on we don’t look different from each other. We should be allowed to wear mufti because we could show our different cultures and personalities.

Paragraph 2
What is the point of buying school clothes when you have mufti in your drawers? It just costs more money for example it is $112 for a pair of shorts, top and jersey, that is insane. You need to buy them each year as you grow, this costs our parents a lot of money buying mufti clothes will be cheaper than school clothes .

Paragraph 3
Our parents still have to pay tons of money on school fees and then they have to buy school uniform what is the point of school uniform.  Some parents don’t have enough money to buy school clothes let alone school fees.

Conclusion/Summary
So I think we need to wear mutif instead of school clothes because overall mufti is better than school uniform to wear for the reasons I have stated above.

I think I am a level three because I have done well in my writing but not as detailed as level 4
